劇情簡介

弗蘭基與約翰尼一位剛出獄的廚師強尼（艾爾帕西諾），對餐廳里的女侍法蘭琪（蜜雪兒菲佛）一往情深；法蘭琪曾有多次感情創傷，變得裹足不前，並刻意與人保持距離 ，最後還是被強尼的深情所感動。兩人終於突破萬難而在一起，也更能彼此惺惺相惜。

弗蘭基與約翰尼弗蘭基是紐約一家廉價小餐館的女招待。約翰尼是一個因詐欺罪被判了一年半徒刑的中年男子，他剛剛刑滿釋放，來紐約尋找工作。他被餐館好心的老闆尼克收留了，當了一名快餐廚師。約翰尼對弗蘭基產生興趣，想約她出去走一走。弗蘭基拒絕了，但約翰尼又在她的公寓出現，說想陪她去參加晚會。晚會上，約翰尼一直陪著弗蘭基，並善意地跟她開玩笑，後來又徒步把她送回了家，他們之間的友誼變成了情慾，結果約翰尼留在她家過了一夜，但當他回到餐館上班時，弗蘭基又開始憎惡約翰尼對她處處獻殷勤，對他失去興趣。他感到心緒不寧。最後，弗蘭基向他承認，過去的 一個男朋友曾使她受了感情和肉體上的創傷，至今她還沒有完全恢復。於是約翰鄭重地向弗蘭基求婚，他們相互取得了信任和理解。她終於在自己的內心深處和家裡為約翰尼找到了一個位置。
幕後製作
