作者介紹
康利1948年出生於美國維吉尼亞州,父母都是作家。康利從小耳濡目梁,從國小一年級便開始寫作,並且從雙親那裡吸取了不少寶貴的創作經驗,為日後成為作家打下了良好基礎。除此之外,康利的童年就像當時所有農莊的孩子一樣平凡,她和兄弟姐妹們必須做許多家務——照顧動物、整理菜園等等,不過等他們把家務做完,就可以自由地釣魚、玩耍,父母很少約束他們。康利的父母也曾經是紐伯瑞兒童文學獎的金獎作家,康利的寫作之路與他息息樣關。她出版的第一本書便是續寫父親未完成的遺作。《誰知我心》是康利出版的第三本書,也是其獨立完成的首部力作,出版次年即榮獲紐伯瑞兒童文學銀獎。
目前,康利全家居住在巴爾的摩,仍然筆耕不輟。
