劇情
在偶然的機會中，他發現了被藏匿在客房中的大學錄取通知書，經過一番猶豫後，他把通知書交到了阿菊的手裡。阿菊頓時醒悟，知道這是母親所為，當她拿著通知書去質問母親時，母親在她面前跪下，說她的收入無法供養兩個孩子讀書，更別說是上大學了。阿菊扶起母親，隨之衝出門去。在大橋上，她撕碎了通知書，拋到江里。阿貴一直寸步不離跟著她，怕她有閃失。自此，兩人的關係發生了微妙的變化，阿菊全然改變了對阿貴的看法。五一醋意大發，試圖阻止阿菊和阿貴的進一步接觸。然而，事與願違，五一越是搗亂，阿菊就越加對阿貴產生好感。
阿貴因自身的身份，不得不隱藏自己對阿菊的愛，盡力躲閃阿菊的那份愛情。最終，他在陪同阿菊報考警察學校後，決意離開，走向了邊境線……然而，阿貴還是無法割捨對阿菊的愛，他返回了小鎮，向阿菊坦白了自己的一切，並且決心重返監獄服刑。阿菊如晴天霹靂，她衝出了家門，跑向一片田野，哭泣，在空曠無人的田野里大聲哭泣…… 阿菊到監獄探望阿貴，說要等他，即使警校錄取也不去，望阿貴出獄後和他經營一家風箏店。不想，阿菊出了車禍，昏迷中一直喊著阿貴的名字。醫院要家人趕緊把阿貴找來，五一挺身而出，主動請纓去監獄通知阿貴。獄方鑒於阿貴的表現，同意阿貴去見小菊。在火車上卻傳來阿菊去世的訊息……阿貴望著移動的群山，痛不欲生……
