瓦迪阿

Noshervan ofthe dian

瓦迪阿（Darashav NoshervanWadia， 1883—1969）
達拉沙夫·諾舍萬·瓦迪阿，印度地質學家。1883年10月 25日生於素叻。1906年畢業於孟買大學。1907—1920年任克什米爾大學教授，後在印度和錫蘭國家地質局供職。曾任印度地質學會主席。1969年 6月15日逝世於新德里。曾在喜馬拉雅山脈以南坡軸區和山前地帶進行過考察，徹底查明了這一地區的地層和地質構造。出版了印度地質學巨著，其中最有價值的是關於喜馬拉雅山區地質結構問題的章節。
著作：①《蓬奇州（克什米爾）和旁遮普鄰近地區構地質》 （Thegeology of Poonch state（Kash-mir）and adjacent portions ofthe Panjab， 1928）； ②《喜馬拉雅山和印度北部地區的構造》（Structure of the Himalaya and of the North Indian Fore-land， 1938）； ③《印度的地質》（Geology of India ，1957）。
